The Rise of Trusted Online Identities
Consumers Want Easier Identity Management, Says CA's BriaultWhat's your digital identity strategy? Numerous agencies countries across Europe - such as the Italian postal service - are creating new approaches to verifying individuals' identities and allowing them to be used as a trusted service, says CA's Paul Briault.
"Digital identity is really the lifeblood of an organization as it transforms its business to go online," he says. "It's really the center of a strategy called customer engagement, for driving better customer relationships, enabling those customers to engage with that organization online, in a much more easy-to-use way which will drive better relationships overall."
In an interview with Information Security Media Group at Infosecurity Europe, Briault also details:
- The drive to embrace new digital identity strategies;
- The rise of trusted identity intermediaries online;
- The next generation of easier to use, more trusted authentication approaches.
Briault is senior director for digital security at CA. He previously served as a sales manager for HP Enterprise Security Services, head of public sector for EMC's RSA Security, strategic business director for the public sector at BEA systems, and assistant director at the U.K. Cabinet Office - where he was responsible for setting policy for security technology and standards across the U.K. Government.
