How to Address BYOD

The bring-your-own-device trend is a huge issue for organizations today, says Rob Ayoub of Fortinet, who offers recommendations to address the security challenges involved.

"There's no one silver bullet for BYOD," says Ayoub, security strategist at Fortinet, in an interview with Information Security Media Group at Gartner Summit 2012.

Enterprises have matured in their understanding of BYOD over the past year, and they're now ready to identify the right solution, he explains.

"Organizations have to choose the level of security that's most appropriate," Ayoub says.

Ayoub is a security strategist with Fortinet. In this role, Ayoub keeps abreast of the latest security challenges and works with customers - including healthcare organizations, managed security service providers and large enterprises - to deploy security solutions in order to address the latest threats.
