Liz Garner is Senior Manager of Public Policy for Amazon. She most previously served as the VP of the Merchant Advisory Group. She has considerable experience in advocating for merchants as well as a strong payments background. Formerly, Garner served as director of commerce & entrepreneurship at the National Restaurant Association, representing the industry before Congress and numerous regulatory agencies on issues impacting restaurant and food service profitability & entrepreneurship, including retail and mobile payments, data security, privacy, emerging technologies, tax, finance, and other issues. Before joining the National Restaurant Association, Garner served as director of government relations for the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) where she focused on similar policy issues and also served as the staff liaison to the FMI Electronic Payments Committee.
